Active Veterans who serve on an official, extended duty service outside of the U.S for at least 90 days during the period of Dec. 1, 2008 through May 1, 2010 they will be granted a 1-year extension on the home buyer tax credit. $8,000 for a new homeowner and $6,500 for current owners. The purchase agreement must be drafted by April 30th, 2011 and closed by June 30th, 2011.
